Water in car door

I was driving earlier and I could hear a whooshing (whatever the description is) of water coming from inside the drivers door. Is it normal for rain water to seep into the door like this or am I looking at spending loads of money to fix this???

Rain water can seep in past the rubber seal especially during heavy storms like we have had recently. Don't know what car you have, but it should have drain holes in the bottom that probably need poking clear of muck and debris. Do not leave water inside too long or it will cause rust and damage electrics.
