10K to spend
I've got about ten grand to spend on a new/second hand motor. I'm looking for something quite sporty but don't know too much about cars and haven't done any research yet. I like the look of the Nissan 350z but they're probably slightly out of my price range unless I go for high mileage, I've also seen a chrysler crossfire which looks good, and an 04 model is affordable on my budget. Anyone got any other suggestions? Or any reasons not to buy a chrysler?
Cheers

That's not my car, but it's the same car - even the colour.
05 plate, 2.0L, leather seats, sunroof, 28k on the clock, 1 year MOT, full service history, 2 years warranty left.
Awww go on, you know you want to :)

the Chrysler has had some really bad reviews for being too cheaply made and generally plasticity, at's also not as sporting as the 350z.
But depends what you want it for, posing or sporty driving, if it's posing then it's whatever you think looks best.
though of course a nice red Hyundai coupe with about 28k on the clock and the optional air freshener (in red) would be the best buy :) LOL

The previous model XKR/8 is a sepctacular car and for 10K you'd get a mint one, as the new model has put the old one out of bed. Get the R if poss 400bhp with supercharger. I assume fuel consumption is not an issue
The 350z is ok not a patch on the Jag. The crossfire is based on a merc slk and total *****, Clarkson reckons it's shaped like a dog having a forest Gump!
For 10k there's some awesome stuff out there just take your time and don't rush in.

I had a Honda Accord Type R which was a terrific car, but I decided to sell it before the mileage racked up (I do 500 per week).
I looked around for ages and eventually settled on a BMW 325 Coupe which looks gorgeous and goes well (despite being an Auto). You could also pick up the same car with a soft top for around 10K which is just Automotive porn, like this http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/imgser-uk/ser vlet/media?id=722910989
