Hey all!

Bought my KA 18 months ago, spent 120 on her within 2 weeks, first service cost 500, 3 weeks ago another 150 as water pipes and things broke and on Saturday morning she broke down on the M4, and the head gasket has gone!

So I havent even passed my test yet, and looking to buy my 2nd car!
Any one else think green cars are bad luck?! I love my car, Cassie as she is known, but just not worth paying out more n more!

Thinking of getting a Yaris, any opinions?

Ta!

dunno how old your car is, and i hate to disillusion you but spending 800 pounds on a used car in 18 months isnt unusual. You were completely robbed if a service on it's own cost 500 quid

When we had the first MOT done there was alot of stuff that needed to be done.

My fella has been mostly driving my car, and he took it in for the service and that as I hadnt started my lessons then, and he knows a fair amount about cars, and as he was paying, he wouldnt of let them screw us over!

But just thinking, she has broken down twice in a month, so its just better to spend some more and get a new car!
Get Rid Now, the Ford KA was only made for coffin dodgers to go to the shops once a week and mothers to take there kids to school as they can't be arsed to walk....

Because I dont always think that what he says is gospel and like the opinions of others?
Like people who have had them or driven them and aren't going on reviews?
The Ford Ka was only made for coffin-dodgers to go to the shops once a week and mothers to take their kids to school

Ive never driven a Ka, so cant comment on that.

The same could be said for most small-engined cars with some truth, but thats what theyre meant for.

A Fiesta is a good bet in that sort of category. Reliable, cheap to fix.
500 for a service? Was this at a main dealer, by any chance?

I could buy 3 perfectly useable cars for 500!
i wouldnt even pay 500 for for a ka!!!
Nissans are fantastic. I have one, and it's so reliable. I love it!
One of my friend's brothers had a KA, which had the problem, it just fell to bits. So he sold it and brought a Renault Clio.

Hey,

Our other car is a nissan, and we have just paid 750 and it took 4 months to have it fixed!
But then it is a 300zx Fairlady, so cant really base my thoughts on that!
