central locking in my vauxhall astra

when i use my key to lock my drivers door,it only locks the drivers/boot.
when i use my kry in the passenger side it locks the pass/drivers and boot .
but neather lock both back doors they have got to be locked by hand.
this all started after i disconected the battery
ps i do not use my fob i just use the key manually
