V W Beetle (oil light)
My daughter has bought an X reg vw beetle which looks and drives well ,it also has full FSH and has covered 70K .I've noticed that the oil light has come on ,the car has oil ,but its over (what i term) the MAX fill line .I'm not that familier with this engine (which i understand is a Golf engine) ,could to much oil be the cause ?.
Any help would be great ,only i dont want it to blow-up for her.
Thanks

If the oil light still comes on fit an oil pressure gauge and see reading. it may also be that the oil pressure relief valve is sticking. I assume that the engine has done reasonable mileage and is not making expensive noises. I hope this helps good luck.
