Where do the police site 'mobile equipped' vans?

where you cant see them....
Anywhere they like, they don't have to obey any parking rules or yellows lines etc.
Our local paper in Derby tells you which streets if you are lucky enough to spot the tiny column they put it in.

Told hubby one day that street we were on should have one according to the paper. Rounded the bend, within the limit, and there it was parked up by the shops....
Depends what the mobile equipped police detector vans are trying to detect.

I spotted one outside my neighbours house but I assumed he had been caught in the act somewhere else but was being shown the evidence. Strange really because not only did the police search his car, house and shed they spent about 1 hour doing so. The neighbours must have really been impressed.
