The power has gone off to all the instruments o the dashboard of my 1.6 Ford Focus. Any ideas what it could be?

hi toonarmy, this is a common problem which was highlighted on bbc 1 watchdog programme which ford are aware about and which they promised to rectify for around �100 at any ford dealer
