I have my theory test tomorrow but I've lost my confirmation letter, will I need this? I have my confirmation code I got when I booked it, and I have my counterpart and photocard, I know the address and time so will it matter if I don't have the letter?
Although you would expect them to have the necessary details to identify you and your appointment from your licence and confirmation code, the DSA website FAQs state that failure to bring the letter may result in a refusal to carry out the test...
It says on the DVD that if you booked at short notice you'll need your confirmation code rather than the letter. I booked a month in advance but this is presumely advice for people who hadn't enough time to receive their letter and thus wouldn't have it, like me. I'm hoping they won't say "no, you received the letter we dont care if you have the code"
the gov web site and when i booked my sons on line the other day it just said u need the code ..nothing about the letter ...as long as u have the code u should be fine ..take ur pass port as well just for extra id ..good luck .
The primary reason for the introduction of photocard licences was to enable the holder to be identified by their photo thus minimising acts of motoring fraud (such as getting someone else to sit your test).
i know some people that never passed it first time ..my son has he on the 25 oct he is reading the highway code just hope he passes ,,,will u put in for your driving test now or u not ready for it ?
