help my car battery has died an i cant remove key from ignation

hi my car battrey has died and my car is automatic the key wont come out of the ignation to open the boot to remove battery to charge how can i get i get the key removed please help

Try rocking the steering wheel from side to side, and then try to get the key out, that usually helps

You also need to make sure the gear selector is in 'Park'

I don't suppose there is a remote boot release lever by your seat is there?

no i dont have a spare key an there is no lever to pull the boot opens by a button on the boot which needs power an they batery is dead and the key wont release fron the ignition without power

no i cant there is no option to go in from the boot as it is all closed as previous owner requested it to be keep boared up cause he had valuables in the boot sum1 please help

move the gearshift out off park and then firmly back into park.

it wont allow me to move the gear level without power its in N at the minute

put your foot on the brake and it should let you move it

i assume you can open the bonnet ?..although the battery is in the boot i am fairly sure there are terminals under the bonnet to allow for the use of jump leads..

i spoted a bmw breakdown van and waved him down he got it sorted in 2 mins by putting power to the power leads under the bonnet to get the boot open didnt even charge anything pure gent or what cheers all
