ive had this car a year now, and i have just noticed something so i dont know if its a new 'problem' or just a mechanism that is built in. when i unlock the car using the button on the keyfob, if i dont get in the car after about a minute it relocks itself. are they supposed to do this or have i developed a short circuit? i also suspect it is unlocking itself as im sure i lock the car at night but sometimes when i get back to it in the morning it is unlocked.... i can be a bit dizzy at times though, so it might just be me forgetting!

yes its normal to lock itself if the door isnt opened within x amount of minutes.
MAny vehicles are designed this way its a safety feature in case its unlocked in error
It is also well known that Renault are not exactly top of the pops when it comes to electrical, I would certaintly ensure that you lock it every night taking a mental note and checking in the morning before using the key fob, my son had many probs with his Megane and in the end sold it re electrical probs, there is also a good renault forum which you may wish to join and post your problem.
