Ford bodywork

Does anyone know if the bodywork is covered under any ford guarantee to cover rust spots ?

My Galaxy is coming up to 5 years old with 48000 miles on the clock, and is already showing rust spots.

Have a look at the front page of your service book, it says there how long cover is for different vehicles. I used this to get Ford to change all the black plastic mouldings (wing mirrors, front grille etc) because they had started to go white.

Most cars are guaranteed for 10/12 years but yours has probably been cancelled because you did not get it inspected and your service book stamped yearly.

Ford warranty covers perforation rust, NOT rust caused by stone chips

Corrosion Protection Warranty
Your Ford bodywork is covered against perforation by rust, from the inside or underside, for 6 to 12 years, depending you vehicle. However, surface rusting caused by scratches or stone chips, isn�t covered.
