ice on the inside of your windscreen?
10 Answers
can i rightly presume that its not normal to have ice on the inside of your windscreen?
my oh says not, but when i tried to book the car for a warranty check they tried to tell me that condensation from the ac was causing it.
first thing in the morning after thick frost and not driven the car for 12 hours I think not!
i rarely use the air con so i insisted on taking it in on friday
can someone give me any other advice?
thanks

The gas in the system contains a essential lubricating oil to make sure all seals etc. are lubricated and gas tight. Run it at least 30 minutes per week (yes, even in the winter!) to ensure that all parts of the system are lubricated and that no gas escapes, and the aircon performs correctly.
In addition - aircon systems include a dryer, so using it will extract moisture from the air as it is recirculated.(and is responsible for the puddle under your car when stood after use!)
Remember it isn't just there for cooling, but is air conditioning, which could just as well be heating!!
