This could be all manner of problems but we need to know what is happening when you turn the key to start the car first.

Is the starter turning the engine?

Is the engine starting after a few tries or when left alone for a period of time?

Does the engine misfire when it eventually does start?

starter turns the engine over..starts when left alone for a while..doesn't mis-fire once running.no problems while its running, but once stopped, wont start for a while.
If there is an electric fuel pump you should be able to hear it working as soon as you turn the key, then there should be enough fuel in the system to start the engine.

If there is no noise and or the fuel pump relay is not working properly there would be no fuel getting through.

Or you may have a fuel blockage.
The chances are it is the crank angle sensor, 9 times out of 10 that's what it is, go to a local garage and get it put on a diagnostic machine just to be sure!
