will a gsxr1000 starter motor fit my 1300 hayabusa

these two starters SHOULD be the same...BUT..you know what the japs are like! the only way to make sure would be to physicaly compare them..if your hayabusa starter is not working try getting a local car starter/alternator repair guy to have a look at it..my local guy was able to tell me that my harley starter is actually a mazda 626 starter,and he had all the parts right there to fix it..total rebuild for �25...bargain!
