Best way to deal with, and treat a spot of rust on the car bonnet please. It is 1/4 inch round. I had this problem with a previous car which I wished I had treated promptly before I sold it. Is there a quick and cheap ( because of the small size ) way of dealing with this problem. Many thanks.

Perhaps best left alone. Anything you do will stick out like a sore thumb, maybe even worse than it is at present. There are franchise chip repair companies who will have a go, but you`re looking at 50 minimum I think.
Sorry, I assumed you`re selling the car. If not then to prevent it spreading Buy a pot of rust treatment & appropriate colour primer. Use a small artists paintbrush. Take your time & give the coats plenty of time to dry. Then find your paint code (usually on a plate under bonnet) & buy the touch-in paint. Ain`t pretty, but cheap!

Thanks for your suggestions.
I intend to keep the car so I have a go at a wee bit of car diy.
Thanks again.
