Fm tuning car radio
1 Answers
I have a cd /radio plaer in my car.
For some reason all my FM stations that I preset wont tune in.
I try to search and still nothing both manually and automatically.
The AM is fine but nothing on FM.
I have removed the radio and checked the ariel connection... all ok
When I disconnect the ariel the am loses signal as you would expect... perhaps proving the connection and signal is ok... but why cant I get any FM??

The audio signal from either the am or fm tuner sections will be fed into the audio amp. These days, with surface mount components (unless you know someone who will repair it for free), the cost of repair is likely to be more than the cost of a replacement unit.
One possible (not very elegant) solution is to feed an fm radio signal (audio) into the aux input but you will need a separate radio and the signal might not be that good with the receiver in the car.
