My daughters 1999 ka 1.3 stalls at the traffic lights/junctions in warm weather. Motor starts up straight away after stalling. Cleaned out the throttle housing last summer and it was ok for a while but did not cure problem. Has been ok all winter but now the warmer weather has returned so has the problem. Have changed plug, air filter etc. Car does 50mile journeys back and forth no problems unless its hot and she has to idle at a junction etc. Any ideas.
hi, if it has an egr valve, give that a clean with wynns carb cleaner. don't know how easy they are to remove on ka's, but give that a go. also, check the idle air control valve, that might be sticking, for example, not opening and closing properly when its getting warm, same thing with egr valve. what about your ht leads, have u changed them? one of them could be faulty.
