my fiat punto key code light is on my car wont start and i dont have the master key or the code to re set it can i permanently disconnect the imobilizer in order to get the car to work again

I believe its impossible to disconnect the immobilizer?
In similar circumstances a lost key means calling out a locksmith many of whom advertise on the web. The cost may be in excess of �100 though.
