Fraud
My partner was involved in a minor road accident last November which he considered was not his fault and in fact the third party admitted liability at the scene. He completed all the necessary paperwork and was called up several times to ask if he was injured and he replied no.His vehicle was duly repaired and his insurance brokers told him he did not have to pay the excess. 3 months ago he received a letter from the broker telling him that the 2 insurance companies involved had agreed 50/50 and did he agree .As he did not - telling them that if they could show that the Highway code had changed then he might agree. He received a letter telling him that the case was being passed to their solicitors who would get in touch. This week he had a call from a guy purporting to deal with accident claims and injuries for the said broker.
