'In my day' we never had the theory test!

I passed my driving test first time - amazingly, cos I made loads of silly mistakes. However, I was 9 months' pregnant, only just able to get behind the wheel. I think the examiner thought if he failed me, I would go into labour or some such thing.

You have to have loads more than 7 lessons these days! I'm on my 22nd lesson today and booked my theory for 4th July, will hopefully do my practical sometime soon after that!

No theory test in 1975.........but took me 3 goes to pass. Went too slow the first time and too fast the second.............bit like my marriages really............

Theory test is only for women.....one example:

What is the STEARING WHEEL used for?
What does the FOOTBRAKE DO ?

I didn't even get past my first driving lesson... in a simulator.

You have to look in your mirrors every 5 to 7 seconds now too otherwise they fail you on observation - bet you lot never had all that rubbish either lol!

Hey i passed my theory test first time,had 55 lessons and got my first driving test on July 2nd,it really is so hard to pass 1st time these days so im not expecting a pass but will do my best!

I passed my theory first time and passed my practical 3rd time.

Can't remember what I failed on think it was parking and few minors
