abs light coming on in vw golf

need some help please. should a new battery be fitted byVW dealers only. had mine fitted by well known garage (not Vw) and now ABS light is showing permanently. could they have done something wrong as all was well before. thank you

Hi, changing a battery would only in some cases can throw out the BRAIN of the car, in your case I would say no, there may be a possibility you have a wheel ABS sensor fault.

thank you both. have found the problem out now and it was the garage that fitted the battery that caused the problem.
