is it my coil pack?? help
right had diagnostic on my vectra b 2000 1.8 petrol as the engine man light kept coming on and off when it felt like, but when the light came on the car would lose power and have a slight misfire,the diagnostic came up as cam sensor so replaced it i still have the same intermittent problem engine light on car misfiring etc so changed spark plugs still same problem costing me a fortune help??..also would a faulty coil pack show up on a diagnostic ?? as it didnt

misfire-intermitant.
cause (took me ages to find it, after garage had done plugs, coil pack, sensors then gave up. ) : the connector to the end of the coil pack had a slightly bent pin in it..
just the movement of the engine starting would make the misfire disappear and i only found it by gently moving the connector and wires slightly, to much and the fault wouldn't show.
dont cut the old connector off (if this is the cause.) just solder a new one in parallel .then if it turns out not to be, you still have the original.
