I printed out a route from Shewsbury to Warrington going via A roads and joining the M6 at Junc 19 North - great!

However, when I tried to print the same going FROM Warrington to Shrewsbury and leaving M at Junc 19 Southbound it would not give it routed me via the M56 Lymm.

I looked on a large AA road map and it semed to show that Junc 19 was open both North and Southbound.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Hi, you have no need to use the M6 motorway for your trip, Take the A5 from Shrewsbury to Chirk, then the A483 to the Chester By-Pass then M56 to the A49 Warring ton, Journey time app 1. 3/4 hrs if that.
To add, or the A49 right from Shewsbury to Warrington.

Thanks for that - I will input that

I have a sat nav, which I use for traffic information even though I know the routes.

Sometimes on an identical journey, it will select a different route (and this is not because of traffic)
