Vauxall meriva playing up

After my Meriva reaches running temp, the drive is terrible, down gearing round corners 2nd gear jumps like there is kangaroo juice in the tank. Thanks for any suggestions.

check out www.vauxhallowenersnetwork.co.uk and go to frontera/meriva section (you can view as a guest) there's stuff there about 2nd gear prob's
