Finding out about events and traffic delays

Ceefax used to have details of events likely to cause traffic delays.
I have searched the BBC website traffic pages for something similar but can't find it.
Where is the best place to look for future traffic delays caused by events or raodworks.

Also Google Maps, and click on Traffic
oops sorry, that is for real time traffic flows, not future possible problems.
While the AA's website is a very good source of information, it's worth considering where the AA gets much of that information from. The answer is the Highways Agency. Here's what you're looking for:
