megane 2

i am thinking of buying a second hand megane2 but have been told they have a lot of faults has anybody any experience of owning a megane.

My daughter in law had one until recently she owned it for about 2 years, In the time that she owned it she had numerous problems with it usually electrical, and coil pack problems ( which are quite expensive ). Her car was a 54 reg, she now has a 56 reg Vauxhall Astra which she loves.

Hi, I owned one a while back and had nothing but problems with it. When it was going it was nice to drive but lots of electrical, suspension and exhaust problems with it. Had it for 2 years and spent over £2500 on repairs. The last straw was paying £600 to have it MOTd then the head gasket went 2 weeks later.

Can echo the above a mate had one and he became very familiar with several repair garages but not some who wouldn't even work on these cars 'nightmare' was one phrase used
