I am replacing a motorised car aeriel. What is the best way to thread the aerial on to the electrical drive unit would be pleased of any help

Are you just replacing the mast or are you replacing the whole of it electric drive motor etc ?.

It should be a matter of a straight swap then ( new for old ). Just remember to reconnect all the electrical connectors when you have finished swapping the new for old over.
