my mot has just cost me 55quid!is that the average price?had a smaller car before the rav and never paid over 40quid,is it the bigger the car the more expensive??

It's worth noting that the 'official' MoT fees are the maximum that can be charged. It's always worth shopping around for lower prices. For example the mian dealer I work for is currently advertising a price of just £29 for an MoT at one of our sites. (That applies to any make of vehicle, not just those sold or serviced by the dealership). Some local garages are currently charging £25.
