Hi, Can anyone tell me what the equivalent of 26Bar is in PSI, as several conversion tables I have looked at have given me different answers. Moonraker.
Reading your post I'm assuming you want to convert the other way round as 26Bar seems a little high for a tyre :-)
Conversion is 1 psi = 0.0689bar, therefore 26 psi would be 1.8 bar.
Thats is what i dont understand, i have a peugeot 407 sw, on the door pillar the recomended trye pressures are given as 26 bar all round for normal use. But when i tried to convert them over i was getting silly readings as well.
Whatever you do, don't try blowing them up to 26bar unless, if you fancy it, set the compressor going and run like the clappers and see what happens lol
I think the 407 has tyre pressure monitors which should be maintained at 38psi (2.6 bar). 30psi will probably show as low pressure in tyres and give low tyre warnings.
I had all of the tyre sensors taken off as i had to replace one of them , and to replace it would have cost £50 each plus half a day in the garage. So i am back to normal valves now.
