VW Badge
Trying to find out which model VW had a Blue "I" on it the same style as the Golf MK4 GTI. Was it a GTI, TDI or SDI. It is not the italic version on the T4 van.

For TDI engines, the number of red letters indicates the position of the engine within the range. All the letters are silver on the lowest bhp model, the next engine output up has the I in red, then the DI in red (I have this one) and then the top model (the 150bhp model) has the TDI all in red.
The SDI is usually labelled as such, all in silver.
For the petrol GTI's, the letter I is in red on the 1.8Turbo model, but all letters are in silver in the, rather disappointing, 2.0 GTI version without the turbo. The exception is the anniversary edition, which has all silver, retro styled letters but an even higher output.
Could you ask a dealer?
