Buzzer sounds when car door open and lights still on......now stopped working

the buzzer sounds when my car door is open and the lights are still on, this has just stopped working it does not buzz any more, would this be anything to do with a fuse?? or something else??
prev Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help.....I think I got dirty petrol or else some dirt has accumulated in the tank.....the car is starting but looses power when I slow down....or when I come down gears!! Any suggestions....will it just clear itself?

No,either the buzzer has packed up or the door open sense switch is faulty.

Does the interior light still come on when the door is opened?

I guess that it is the same switch to turn on the light and activate the buzzer.

what make of car? some cars have a buzzer 'module' that plugs into the fuse box board with all the relays. It is possible the module just needs a push back in.
or as panic suggests, if the light doesn't come on anymore, the switch is faulty.
