Another flat battery
4 Answers
What are the lowest SG readings that make a battery "past it" ? The cells in mine are all in the red about 1140,there used to be a concentrate that you could add to the electrolyte in the cells ,would that be a waste of money (assuming it's still available)? Would a flat bty play havoc with the immobiliser? Thanks!!!!!!!

The trouble is TWR,because the bty is flat I can't get the car started even with a boost. I get no response from anything electrical that's why I wondered whether a "dodgy" bty would cause the immobiliser to shut down everything. It's a chicken and egg situ ....is the bty causing no start or the immob'r.Thanks for your reply!!
There is another way to do this without buying a new battery but you need to do it very quick, Make sure you have the radio code, the have some one's car along side yours Undo the connecting battery leads then connect jumper leads to the other car and start yours, be quick & then transfer the leads back on to your own battery ( Before criticism starts this does work) let us know how you go on.
