I have a peugeot 307 rapier - just got into work & my rear driving light has blown. Indicator & brake lights ok.
this is a real pain in the @ss as I have a long night journey to make tonight. Would this be a sealed unit, therefore I have to take it to a garage to be replaced? Or can I nip in somewhere like Halfords & get a new bulb? Thanks for advice.

Look inside the boot, there will probably be an access panel in the boot lining right behind the rear lights to access and change the bulbs.

Bless you chuck, thank you. I Am A Girl, Therefore Ignorant In These Manly Matters....!
(It'll prevent me from the possibility of being rear-ended later tonight...) x

Whooops sorry, maybe Motoring is not the place for those sort of jokes? The Girl Can't Help It.....(you can take the girl out of chatterbank, but you can't take chatterbank out of the girl...!) x
Wouldn't like to think of you being rear ended tonight, well not before you get home at least, what you do after that is up to you :)
A peugeot you say...? I think Chuck is right re acessing the lights from inside the boot.. I had one too and can recall an ex-husband furkiling! But that's another story altogether! (again re the chatterbank!!)

Thanks both of you, I shall look in the boot later on & hopefully avoid garage fees. (Did you say the boot, or the bonnet...?)
If you go to Halfords and flutter your eyelashes Salla, they'll fit a new bulb for you, at a cost of course!
R1, you don't have to flutter your eyelashes, they'll just take your money and do the job ;o)

that said, it's salla and she will be fluttering her eyelashes regardless.

Maybe sara. Although I prefer the looking up from under the eyelashes seductively routine, a la Princess Diana.... I do have a Halfords man who always services my bike and pumps up my tyres at a low cost.

One last thing - if I get stopped by this by Plod - is it just a warning (I can cope with them, and I'll act all innocent anyway) or is it a fine/charge?
Technically it's a charge but 99/100 it'll be a warning or a VRN
Question Author
Thank you x
Err... VRN?
vehicle rectification notice - 7 days to get it fixed
Question Author
Thanks to everybody.
I can now proudly annouce, that thanks to fluttering & flattering - that my bulb has now been replaced and I am safe and legal.
