Recently my '04 VW PASSAT car went in to have the clutch replaced. When I got it back I couldnt receive any AM station. FM seems unaffected, can anyone help please?

I had same problem with my Peugeot 406 (not after clutch change but when I brought car) turned out to be aerial amplifier fitted under roof aerial replaced this with one off ebay and AM now perfect.Don't know if Passet has same thing.

Also need to add that it might be the supply to the amplifier it needs 12v to work, did on Peugeot.
