I have a problem starting my Nissan Micra 1.0E new shape. It happens every so often, cannot turn over starter motor although plenty of juice in battery, ie full lights etc. If I wait 2-3 hours then it will start, it's happened on about 6 occassions. This can happen after driving car for several hours or just after driving 10 miles winter or summer. Any ideas? Please

Is it a manual or automatic transmission?
I had a similar problem ona Mercedes which turned out to be dead short in the ignition switch. It was finally tracked down by amn MB technician after several visits and finally not starting at all although the lights etc worked fine.
Have changed lots of ignition switches on Micra for intermitant non-starts ie no cranking like you expland.  It seams that the lock mech dose not rotate the switch quite far enough round if you wiggle the key in the start position sometimes they start.  suggest you take to a main dealer and get it checkout best of luck.
