Travelling from the West Midlands to Manchester a few months ago we were delayed by roadworks on the M6 northbound jct. 8 - 15 or so. We're planning on doing this journey again this week, does anyone know if there are still 50 mph speed limits and/or bad delays?

Travelled M6 a week ago and they were doing crash barrier replacement at jct 8, 13 and 15. With congestion and 50 mph restrictions - good luck

Many thanks for your answers - we only arrived 15 mins later than usual, compared to the 45 minutes delay previously, and the traffic was fine.
