Can I press and hold the Home button on my phone (in order to activate the voice control) whilst driving?

It's firmly attached to the car in a position where my hands are still on the wheel, and I don't need to look at it - i.e. it's the same as using controls on the steering wheel to adjust the radio.

I thought it would be, but there are a number of potential offences that this may come under - up to Dangerous driving - huge fine, min 12 months ban, imprisionment... Eeek!

Any thoughts folks? Thanks.

no, you are an evil sinner just to consider the possibility!
i used to have a phone that you could set voice operated commands,,,might yours?

you record your own voice and save it and then just say answer or whatever to answer it...
My understanding is that as long as it does not require you to hold phone at any point, then yes it is legal.
