There could be several reasons but I need more information.

Please define ceramic brakes?  Is it ceramic brake discs?  Ceramic brake pads?  If it is discs then you may have to have compatible brake pads.  Please provide more info, additionally who fitted them and are they recommended for your car? (I take it they're not standard?)
