Hold Up or Held Up
23 Answers
Driving around today, it occured to me that motorists must fall into 2 groups ...
(1) Those who HOLD UP everyone else.
(2) Those who get HELD UP.
I feel like I've spent the whole day looking at the backs of cars in the outside lane, which are doing the same speed as the cars in the inside lane.
... or pottering along the windy roads insanely slowly ... and speeding up on the straight bits, so you can't get past.
I don't think I have EVER held up the traffic.
But somewhere out there ... are the people who HOLD US UP !!
Come on ... which are you ?
WARNING !
If you are one of the motorists who pull out to overtake, just as I am almost level, so I have to brake like mad ... and then you overtake at 2mph faster than the car on the inside lane, and then, when I invite you to
"Get out of the fcuking way, you senile t!t"
... you go through the ridiculous routine of indicating for 30 seconds, and slowly edging back over ...
(I KNOW you're moving over, you pea brain, because if you don't, I'm going to RAM YOU !!) ...
Well, if you're one of them ...
... then there may be repercussions !!!

If I switch on the cruise control at 110 (erm ... hypothetically, of course!)
=0/
... I don't need to find some t!t in a little hatchback parked in the outside lane.
But anyway, for what it's worth, as it was sunny today, I was out in the MGF
(which is even more annoying, because you can't see past the car in front!!)
