how many times have i heard that, 5 min job!...in theory thats the basics of it, but as i said it can be a pain to get the fuel back through, might need a lot of engine turning can be a bit scary when it wont start for a few minutes. Also on some vehicles the engine managment light may come on as it detects low fuel pressure but it should go off once running. On the plus side i think VWs should be straight forward.
Think yourself lucky you havnt got a new Mondeo, the fuel has to be sucked back through to get rid of airlocks (garages use a brake bleeding tool), many of these Mondeo 'just change the fuel filter ' jobs end up being towed into a Ford dealer to get it running again.
