Hi folks, I have a damaged bumper for which I have ordered a replacement but I'm going to need some time to fit it (after painting). my current bumper is duct tapped up although I'd hate to guarantee it at high speeds. is it legal to drive without the blasted thing, would be a lot safer but then laws have the uncanny way of being illogical

i have seen others without - but as for legality, it used to be ok as long as there are no sharp//dangerous edges that could cause injury & all the lights were there
(numberplate ones) wouldn't be a Mondeo would it, it seems they fall to pieces with a sneeze & normally taped up.
I think Mondeos were built with a bit of tape on the rear bumper, weren't they?
