Insurance Quote
Hi I am interested in how much insurance would be for a new driver on a range of different cars, I am not looking for an exact price just a ballpark figure.
Does anyone know of any websites that will do this? i.e just put your age in and the car spec?
Any help greatly appreciated

Unfortunately you must specify a type of vehicle, it's age, engine size, where it will be kept (garage etc), how many miles you think you'll do etc.
The best thing you can do is search for vehicle insurance groups. It's not just engine size they take into consideration but desirability (whether it's nickable in other words) and other things such as are parts cheap for it incase it is involved in an accident. Common car makes/models such as Ford Fiesta's, Vauxhall Corsa's, basic Peugeot's, etc., will be pretty reasonable. If the car you're after is still manufactured then you can even phone a franchised garage (e.g. Rover, Ford garage etc.) and ask to speak to a salesman. Just say that you're just after insurance groups to give their cars some more consideration. They'll help.
Remember to look for small engine sized cars. Things that aren't too flashy. Small diesels are good too and economical for a new driver.
BTW what age are you?
this may not help but when i first started driving i was 18 and i had a 1.1 N reg fiesta and my insurance cost me 900 in the first year but went down to around 600 in the second year.
Also confused.com will search a range of sites for you, you will have to put in all the details e.g age address where the car is kept car spec etc. but you will only have to put them in on one site and it will check all the others for you rather than you putting the details in on loads of different sites.
hope this help?!
