what is the conversion factor from Mpg to Lt/100km or the other way round?

  100/(0.425*mpg) = lt / 100km

 eg 100/ (0.425 * 8) = 29.4 lt /100km

1 mile = 1.6 km

eg 1 mpg also equals 1 divided by 4.546 m per litre = 0.21997 mpl

multiply by 1.6 = 0.3519 km per ltr

therefore mpg x 0.3519 = mpl and

mpl divided by 0.3159 = mpg
