I recently purchased a fiat from a local dealership, which has since gone into administration. As part of the deal I was given free servicing for 3 years. Does the new owner of the dealership have to honor the warranty? They are trying to charge me £179 for a service.

Sorry, unless a trader subscribes to an independent scheme which guarantees that warranties or service agreements will remain in place if the trader goes bust (such as the one operated by the National House-Building Council for builders), all of your rights are lost when a business ceases trading.

Thanks for your answer Chris, even if it's not the answer I wanted :-)
That price for a service Adele seems steep to me, phone around for quotes.
