Renault megane flickering speedometer

Why does the speedometer arm on my R reg Renault megane flicker/jump about when travelling at high speed?

Also, the dashboard warning light has started to come on after a long journey. The light on the top row, one in from the right hand side.

Does the warning light look like a jagged line in a rectangle?

This is the electronic incident warning light and indicates a fault in one of the electronic systems... needs to be looked at ASAP!
