How do you turn a mini cooper on and how do you open the petrol lid?

Getting a mini next week and have nit driven one, it's being delivered and am worried I won't be able to drive it!!!!

New BMW one .. or original one?
New one has a strange key arrangement .. you sort of push a modular key intop a 'space" .. but easy .. on button.
Old one .. well ... old! Designed so that you could never reach anything apart from steering wheel once strapped in.

I had one in 1974 and they really easy to drive, except the full beam button was a little metal button right up in the drivers footwell and not easy to operate in 3 inch platforms

oh and the steering wheel rattled abit doing 60mph on the Rainford by-pass,

New one!!! And I know the Rainford bypass well!!!

Just ask the delivery driver to show you the basics when you do the delivery inspection on it.

Any chance you could have a practise on an airfield before putting the general public at risk?

I imagine it will be delivered at the same time as the rest of the car, so you can ask the driver about that too.

Or, look in the book that comes with it. Don't forget to write your radio code down..!

I know this makes me look rather dumb!!! And should've done a test run but usually you pick up from the dealer and get a basic demo, scared I won't get it off my drive!!!!

Aww - my first car was a mini too.. bright bloody orange and possessed by the devil not that my driving had anything to do with it.... well I was only 17!!!
