Locking wheel nuts

I don't have the socket for the lock nuts on my Rover 214 T reg, does anyone know where i can get one or have one i could borrow? They are standard rover alloys.

when i have been out to the car in a bit, i will upload a photo of the lock nut.
they will need the code from the wheel nut to supply the correct key

Are you sure there isn't one with your spare wheel? That's where mine is kept.
p.s.

they are a bugger to remove without the key, when my key broke on my old 200 coupé I ended up having to drill the wheel stud out and made a new stud.

ive looked everywhere in the car but cannot find the socket anywhere.

where will i find the code from the wheel nut chuck, i cant find it on the actual nut itself
Well they are coded ... Like Ford, there are numerous key layouts.
Best bet and easiest .. and probably cheapest way out if you cannot find any code for them is to buy a new lock set. Some here are only £7.99. That is less than a key will cost you.

Make sure you know if wheel has a steel insert for a standard nut seat, or they require a spigot or seat on the nuts to engage with the wheel. Check an original nut .. If they are just tapered buy these ..

They are M12 x 1.5mm pitch.
(PS .. Ford are over £20 to order/replace a coded master lock adapter for some models)
If I get a wheel bolt or nut that will not come out, I get my MIG out and weld something like another bolt or nut onto it, so I can remove. Takes some skill, but it works (and the heating effect helps it come out easier too)
Best is to buy a new set. Halfords or bay and then get a garage or kwikfit to remove the old ones. They have a special tool. Maybe buy a tool yourself off bay?
If you contact these people, they will advise you of a garage near you that has the tool who will remove the locked nuts for around £30. Or you could buy the tool yourself for around £130.

You might think the garage is on to a winner, getting its money back in 5 or so jobs – but each removal involves the use (consumption) of special tool which is formed into the shape of your locking wheel nuts.

Before taking such a drastic step (expense), check the handbook in the glove-box to see if there is a card for the locking wheel nuts – showing the manufacturer and unique code. The manufacturer will then supply a replacement key, for a fee.

If you were nearer Benny .. I'd remove them for you.
Some of these tools are just a socket filled with soft solder. Just bang them on and remove. I should design and market myself for 40 quid.
i think you bought a right dog there (rover) haha . all the trouble you have had with it, i bet the last owner was glad to see it go,
are you not with the aa or rac, let the air out - call them, see if they can remove it - but don't let them try to inflate it.
