Corsa Easytronic Gearbox
How difficult is it to remove the actuator unit from this gearbox. Its only done 38000 miles and Vauxhall want £1000

In answer to your question it is very easy to remove the actuator unit, mine gave up one Xmas. I was lucky enough to have a friend at the place that developed it for Vauxhalls and he sourced me a secondhand replacement. It coincided with a failure they saw on a test vehicle so were curious as to the cause and failure mode.

Well I'd do it .. but never seen one. But I am advanced .. and been working on cars for years.
Transmission on standard Corsa is easy enough to remove .. so an actuator canno be that bad.
Best search here .. youwill have to join as free member in both cases.
