Focus ST feedback

Thinking of getting a Focus ST can owners give me feedback on problems they have had. Is it worth going for the ST3

The Chassis on the ST3 isn't quite a sorted as say a Golf GTI and the brakes and gearchange are a little spongey but they're probably a couple of grand cheaper than a GTI. Steering can be a bit 'wafty' at high speed which doesn't inspire confidence and tends to kick-in the traction control quite often. Average MPG should be around 30 IF you drive it like any other Focus but if you floor it now and again (and who isn't going to do that - otherwise why buy one?) then it can easily drop to low 20's.

It uses a bomb-proof 5 cylinder Volvo low-pressure turbo engine that can chipped/mapped for over 100 bhp more than stock!
