audi diagnostic code!!!
6 Answers
having trouble with my a3 alarm keep going off when i lock thecar (have to leave caropen at all times).
its been in for a diagnostic today and found the following fault...
01134 - ALARM HORN - H12 NO SIGNAL/NO COMMUNICATION INTERMITTENT.
just wondering if anyone knew what the fault could be off this as the garage wants the car back saturday to run another diagnostic (as all ecu's had been cleared of faults) and also wants to check the wiring at a rate of 345 per hour, he said he wants to check as it could also be the comfort module which costs around £300, i thought the diagnostic would diagnose the fault so it would show what needed replacing.
i have booked another diagnostic for friday at a different place to see if the other garage could tell me what it is off the diagnostic.

i have googled the fault and found on the vwaudi forum that its probably a break in the wire.
the fault i have is that i can get out the car and set the alarm but within seconds it will start sounding, something is triggering the alarm to go off.
i think i will just let it go back saturday as he's gonna run another diagnostic (free) and check all the wiring for the alarm, horn etc.. and also gonna check the module over. on googling and looking on different forums, the one's that relate to the same fault as me say its a broken wire, dodgy pin or something stupid like that as its only an intermittant fault.

Al, i have checked the wipers as someone said there rear washer jet was trickling water which was setting it off, this garage is going to check all wiring in doors, pillars etc incase of a broke wire, dodgy pin etc... and the rate of charge is £45 p.h not 345, the shift button hasn't worked properly...LOL.
I suppose the garage doing this 1st is eliminating the stupid stuff, he's also going to check all the latches incase of fracture etc... my car isn't high mileage but it has had a new door skin due to someone hitting the side on a car park around 2 years ago, putting this into theory i'm thinking maybe a wire that runs through door pillar has split or kinked with door opening and closing.
